Spring is just around the corner (cough), and so is CSC 457. This is just a sneak peak... terms are subject to change.
Our 457 journey... so you want to create quality code:
- Design: object-oriented design practices and design patterns
- Implementation: practice of good programmers, I especially like a lot of the stuff in "Code Complete" by McConnell
- Testing: unit testing, test coverage, profiling, etc.
- Measurement: code complexity, statistical analysis of program performance, our primary source for this area will be the text required for the course
- Tools: software out there to support your software development... we'll try and do one a week
The syllabus link above is live, so you can absorb that as well.
Email me if you have any questions about this future fun, I mean, course.
thanks... yow, bill
