Chapter 9 "DFD" Homework

Please read Chapter 9 on Process Modeling and Data Flow Diagrams (DFD's). You'll also want to review the examples that I hand out in class.

This homework is due at the beginning of class Wednesday.

1. I heart the cinema

You know my love for movies. Please create some DFD's, continuing the Cinemark theater(s) example we did previously. Please create DFD's organizing the information systems used at the theater company.

I'd like to see three diagrams:

  • A Conxtext DFD
  • A Level 0 DFD
  • And one Level 1 DFD

Remember, for DFD's you have to identify the processes (work done) in your system.

Let's try and identify some of those top-level processes (in the context diagram) together in class. (yes, this is a reminder for myself)
