Images and HTML

Once you insert an image into web page, you have a lot of options.

In FrontPage, many of these options are available by right-clicking on the image and selecting "Picture Properties"

Images and hyperlinks

It is very common to associate a hyperlink with an image. North Central College Cardinals rule! For example, I have linked the cardinal to the right to the North Central home page.

Another thing I did with this image is set its alignment to the right. So text flows to the left of the image. Left, centering and other options are available.

You can associate text with an image as well. Putting the cursor over the cardinal should display "North Central College Cardinals rule!"

Other effects

You can also:

Put a border around an image... this is useful for images with hyperlinks because the border changes colors after the link is visited.
You can also change the dimensions of your image in HTML... but BEWARE!
This doesn't make your file size any smaller
The browser may do a bad job of resizing (worse than an editing program)
