Plainfield defensive, Diablo offensiveExcellent contributions, of admittedly different tone, from Plainfield and Diablo. Thanks boys... yow, bill Plainfield Playmakers"Plainfield" Rob Reed (Jan 23, 2003) Yes, we would like to dispute something listed in the latest NIBL Notes. According to the author, the Bolingbrook BigHops shuttered their doors for a couple of years, only to emerge as a perennial powerhouse. This is not accurate! The Bolingbrook BigHops were disbanded and all former players and executives underwent dramatic electro-shock therapy to forget their record-breaking season. They were drugged, dropped off in remote Nevada locations, and forced to sign confidentiality agreements with the NIBL ownership. Using the Catholic's methodology, all abuse is hereby denied and all settlements will be handled out of court wish secrecy agreements. Plainfield is an all-new team, headed by Rob Reed, the former owner of Bolingbrook, although he is not aware of that portion of his painful past... due to drug-induced repression. We, the unnamed venture capitalists behind the Plainfield team order the NIBL to cease and desist from any action that would associate the Bolingbrook and Plainfield teams. Thank you. Unnamed Spawn 2K3........Bored in the West"Diablo" Danny Bruessel (Jan 24, 2003)
Jeebus......Here we are, already halfway through the season, and all I can say is, "I'm bored." Sure, there's the chance (snicker) that I might not make the playoffs, but that chance seems less than likely. I'm sure that Cancun, Walla, or (guffaw) the Murder might have some differing viewpoints, but the fact of the matter is that I have proven, without a shadow of a doubt, to be THE elite Western conference team. With MJ, EB, and 'Toine, who'll stop the Spawn? I mean, the only real story in the West is the tarnishing of Don Fenton Jr.'s anally inserted Golden Horseshoe. Wow, does his team suck this year, and it's about freakin' time. The Beater are the LOWEST scoring team in the West and 3rd lowest in the league. Who woulda thunk that Donny Fenton would be in next year's Tim Duncan (or maybe LeBron James) sweepstakes? So this year I proudly give you my annual anti-Fenton haiku:
So I guess I'll just have to start the playoff smack early. Hey commish, my first round lineup's gonna be 'Toine & M. Miller as my Fs, Brad Miller as my C, Reggie "playoff psycho" Miller & Michael "30 nibl playoff guard in the 4th round/greatest player of all time" Jordan as my Gs, and K Kittles as my 6th. Am I concerned about losing EB for the playoffs? Nah, I did it before without him, I can do it again. R. Lewis? Nah, he's my weak link anyway, and I got Reggie "big game" Miller as backup. So, I ask again, who will stop the Spawn?
