Game summary - Naperville rode the wave of 19 points each by Kurt Warner and Brandon Jacobs to surf to the team's first Payton34 title.
The
KGG coasted, waiting for a big Sunday night explosion out of
uber-rookie Adrian Peterson. It never came. Peterson stumbled and the
KGG were unable to rebound.
Snow and wind impacted games across
the country. Mid-game injuries effected both sides, including players
like: TO (ankle), Anthony Gonzalez (foot), Kevin Jones (ACL), J Addai
(back), and Greg Jennings (ankle).
A raucous Naperville crowd
celebrated the victory by setting off the car alarms of BMW's and
Mercedes' across the city, and then retiring for a stiff martini. It
was a very Merry Christmas.
