Laugh, cry, drink, smack... come early and stay late. The LP3 draft!
Here's the draft order, based on your record last year. We're running 14 teams strong, baby. Nice recruiting, men!
Note: Newbie teams are in blue
Note2: That last field is how you're drafting: {list = I'll choose from your list; castle = you're drafting live at the castle; chatzy = you're a remote drafter using chatzy}
Note3: We have 2 list-drafters who have schedule conflicts. That's the max I can handle. If you have a conflict, please let me know, chop chop.
We are set.
What: LetsPlay3 2018 Draft
When: Sat Mar 24 @ 3:00pm
Where: Castle BillSkull
Free beer: Come early for some beers, foodstuffs, and chit chat
BTW, MLB starts on Thu Mar 29 this year.
All teams will play Opening Day, which will fall on March 29, 2018—the earliest domestic start of a regular season in MLB history.

Here's my handy Draft Sheet. Print this out and fill 'er up as you draft. If you come to The Castle, I'll have copies. This is a must have for every drafter.

I used to post some lists here. I think that's unnecessary here in 2018. You can google "fantasy baseball rankings" or "fantasy baseball cheat sheet" just as easily as I can.
That said, two sites standout:
LetsPlay3 is a little different from the standard 5x5 head-to-head leagues in one aspect. We use Total Bases, not Batting Average. This means that sluggers are potentially more valuable in LetsPlay3 than they are in most leagues/lists.
My only advice to newbies and oldies alike is the same every year. Your best chance to win is to do something different. Take an approach that no one else does. Take a risk. For example, draft as many Cubs players as you can. Draft only young players. Draft hitters first, then pitchers. Draft players with beards. Whatever your choice, it gives you a better chance than blindly picking directly from an ESPN or Yahoo list.
thanks... yow, bill
